M Maritimer New member Jan 7, 2017 #3 If I remember correctly, they're a type of hydroid. Harmless, in this case (some hydroids aren't), but cousins of jellyfish and anemones. I had a few of them when my tank was new, but haven't seen any since about the first month or so. ~Bruce
