i've heard both mid ohio and watkins glen are excellent tracks.

so far my only seat time on a big track has been at beaver run, now called something different, just north of the burgh.

quite a few of my friends have run watkins glen though.

I've done BeaveRun, too, now called Pittsburgh International Race Complex. They're putting in a south track, doubling the track in size. It's going to be awesome once they are done.

Since this is a thread that seems to have escaped from the lounge, I'll post a video. Get you more interested in the big track, and maybe others, too!!

That looks like a fantastic track.

I'm glad PIR is adding a new track. I know they have been talking about it for a while, even before their sale.

In addition to north track I've done several SCCA time trials in my car on the Wilson circuit (usually the go kart course), and lots of time on the VDA area for autocross including a snow rally cross. So a new track is absolutely awesome.

Front straight:130-140. Back rise: 140-150. You rarely hit top speeds on these tracks. The fun us in the corners

Nice thats Crankin lol I changed the suspension and brakes on my BMW 3 series tossin a turbo on it this spring poor mans M3 lol Id like to hit a track and shred some pavement.

at the snow event i only hit about 30 - 50 MPH, but that was plenty with no traction.

on the north track at beaver run i topped out around 125ish on the front straight before i lost my nerve in to turn 1.

i don't recall how fast i got on the back straight, but i believe it was a little slower than that.
