Let me know what you think.. My internal over flow will be around 9.5 inches or so to allow for a little bit more than 600gph.

The hardest part was painting the back...LOL drilling the holes was EASY!!!!

Thanks Guys.... Yes I am building a sump. The tank is a 30G. The sump will be around 14G. Nothing will fit in the cabinet. I am going to get crackin on it once I am done with the plumbing and overflow...

Looks great! Wish I had painted the back of my tank. Is the PVC pipe the overflow or are you gonna build an overflow box around it?

Looks great. If you glued your durso all the way down take my advice and change it now. I had a snail get in my overflow and had a time getting it out. Now I left the bottom unglued and sealed it with teflon.

Thanks again guys.....

rooroo: The durso (PVC) is the overflow and I am going to build an internal overflow box around it. With about 9.5 inches of overflow giving me a little over 600gph.

Okreef98: hahaha That is EXACTLY what I thought about before I glued it. I left the mid section unglued for just such an emergency.......

Deacon: 45mm Diamnod tipped hole saw of EBay for about $10.00. From the guy in Hong Kong that everyone uses. It was soooooooooooooooo Easy. Everyone put the fear of God into you, but it was realllllly easy and took about 5 minutes per hole.

King Toad: Once I build the box it will be topped with the old "plastic gutter guard from Lowes. That will keep out all the creepy crawlys.....

Here are some pics of my progress. I can now get started on my sump/fuge....

My Homemade internal overflow. I bent it instead of cutting and gluing the pieces together.

Looking good. Just one dit of advice I would put a power head along the bottom behind the rock when you get it to get more circulation.

Mike. That is plastic gutter guard from Lowes. It keeps out the creepy crawlies..........lol

an-sps: I am going to see how my flow goes. I have Loc Line y's that I could add and point a line behind. I am trying to keep the inside as clean as possible...
