Hi,
those pictures were taken at public aquariums and without any tripod, However I believe they are good in exposure and composition. Would appreciate any comments or criticisme on what I could have done to have them better. Keep in mind that lighting was not good on those tank and some of them were filled with microbubles and scratched glass so it really wasn't that easy.

D70s 18-200 VR and 50 mm 1.4 most of them are with flash with a diffusor on and angled 45-60 degrees up.
Actually I started with flash till the personel told me not to use it. Then I shot a few pictures without flash but the tanks were so badly lit that I was around 1000-1250 and still i was having lots of blurred shots not to mention lots of grain and blurred micro bubbles which was really bad. So after i convinced them that the diffusor was a special tool for the fish eyes I was shooting flash again with Iso 200-400.

Would like to see you crop closer to most of the above and allow the subject to add character to the image you make.
Nice job of the overall imaging, I just think you need a little tlc on those and some of them could be outstanding. Just my $0.02 worth.

tlc = tender loving care as in post production. To me these are reference book quality. Excellent shots. If you're into the tedium of post production (photoshop tweaking) they would be beyond amazing. I have a D70. I've GOT to get a VR lens but right now I'd rather put my money into my tank.
