Had this bad aiptasia problem so I got a ton of peppermint shrimps. But now they are attacking my hammers and torch one after another

Need to find a good way to kill these shrimps.

Im trying to bottle trap but not working very well.

Suggestions?

Ill go buy a 1gal water jug and try it? I keep catching the cleaner shrimps...

I have a flamehawk but doesnt do anything. Ill look for maybe bigger hawkfish? Any specific type? What about wrasse?

Triggers and angels will become a coral issue too. So trying to minimize thst cycle of introducing predators

One thing I always did when I worked at an LFS was get a big net, lift the rock they were on, slide the net underneath and pull the rock out the water so they fall into the net. I know not as practical in a reef tank but a thought.

As for hawks, I have no personal experience with them. I’ve always liked the Longnose Hawk but from what I’m reading is “small shrimp”. So perhaps they may be too big for your hawk right now?

Cool. Thanks guys. Ill look for a large hawk

Got a bigger trap and its catching some. Got maybe 10-15 in sump. Ill keep at it. Still got maybe 30 more in tank:LOL:

Moving rock is impossible. They are all cemented together into a structure.
