What fish has bitten you

My clowns and yellow tang would eat peacefully from my hand but the clowns would attack me if I was cleaning. I can't feed any more by hand because my blue throat trigger gets too excited and chomps right ahold of my fingers. No broken skin yet, but he's definitely in a competition for more food and you can tell.

Not sure if I'm being bit or just bumped. I'll put my hand in the tank to put in a vege clip and one of my clowns is always making contact. Same thing with the blue hippo at times. But never aggressively for either fish. They always leave me alone when doing maintenance on the tank.

why do you guys stick you hands into the water so often?

My 2 maroon clownfish nip my fingers when I feed them daily. I normally hold flakes or frozen food under the water surface and they eat right from my fingers. Sometimes they even hold on for a ride when I yank my fingers out of the water!

Alright we need some more pictures of the culprits and how about some of the scars that they left.

on a side note, I was chased by a leatherback turtle once when diving, I never swam so fast in my life, I cannot imagine the mark he would have left.

I had a true percula that would bite me repeatedly when I would clean my fish tank. He was only a few inches long but he would always bite me in between my fingers were it is more tender.

Multiple clownfish: ocellaris, percs, tomatoes, clarkii, etc (maroons the most persistent).
dominoe and yellow-tail damsel
lawnmower blenny
Multiple wrasses
A few pseudochromis
niger, black hawaiian triggers (clown tried several times, but never got me)

I'm sure I'll think of some others after I post this.

Clowns are just "cute" damsels...same family...so it's really no surprise!

The guy that got me into this hobby went to Maui to dive. He and his friend came across a couple of very large domino damsels and his friend started "chasing" them with his hand. They went on their way diving, and on their way back in, a whole school of domino damsels started attacking his friend in every area not covered by the shorts-style wet suit LOL. My friend had a really hard time laughing with a regulator in his mouth!

My midas blenny used to sneak up and get me every once in awhile. Nothing bad though.

I was laughing just thinking about that dive, I couldn't imagine being there!

my purple tang actually nips my hands, and will swipe me with his tail and spur when he really gets annoyed with me in his "territory" or should i say, his tank lol... really is pretty crazy of him, i never seen or had a tang do this, only blennies and clown fish who would bite my hand... but he will actually try and cut me with his spur, which he has done twice lol... it will actually cut too, like a razor, but small, so do real damage done... for now lol

You know what, knock on wood, nothing has bitten me and I regularly handfeed my Eel. I also handfed my Epaulette Shark all the time too. He was very gentle at grabbing the food :) My Harlequin Tuskfish has gotten close a couple of times but mostly he just spits water at me through the top of the tank haha.
