what fish have proven good/bad with lps for you?

I've had some unexpected problems with a scribbled rabbitfish, which tore bits off my frogspawn when algae ran low.

I've had impeccable behavior out of the YWG, court jester goby, mandarin, tailspot blenny, highfin goby, chromis, and firefish.

I lost several fish to a filamented fairy wrasse, but I can't say there was any coral damage.

I've had hermits perch in corals [sps] for molt, but no other problems.

My foxface ate my elegance, open brain, and donut coral.
He is a bad boy so I moved him to my sps tank. He is fine there.

Seems to be a 'no' vote for rabbits and lps....that was my experience. Plus feeding him caulerpa put so much phosphate into my tank it led to an algae bloom after he left.

My Copperband liked to sample my open brain every once in a while. I separated them into different tanks and both are doing fine. My copperband has never bothered anything else except aiptasia and feather dusters, which is fine by me :P

Also, my tomato clown liked to host in the same open brain. this peeved the brain more than anything.

Funny this thread comes up. I just took all my blue/green chromis to our LFS because one of the chromis has been tearing bits off our frogspawn last week. I sent you a pm sk8r a week or so ago wondering what my problem was with a couple froggies and we finally found the problem. This has been going on for months and just seen it happen fri. night! All is great now in our tank! Better keep a close eye on your fish. Who would have ever thought I would have a problem with those "peaceful" chromis?.........

A chromis eating frogspawn! That's one for the books!

I'm terrible about my pm's. I always forget to check. Blush.

It does seem to me that if any lps is going to be messed with, the likeliest candidates are frogspawn, plate, and open brains.

Blue Velvet Damsel likes to eat my brain. had to take him out of the tank because the other day he decided he wanted lunch but had to take it to go. He moved my Brain all the way to the other side of the tank where he sleeps. Guess he thought he would try to save it for a midnight snack....

Wow! LPS eating chromis' I'll have to keep an eye on mine.

Fish that have picked/eaten my LPS corals: copperband butterfly (candy cane, feather dusters, snails), regal tang (frogspawn), and powder blue tang (tried 2 diff fish -- open brain, xenia, frogspawn). Also, my current purple tang is on probabtion since it was recently caught picking at my very healthy/growing green goniopora.

FYI... I feed at least 3 times per day (home made mush) and provide daily nori strips. All fish are extremely healthly.

Clown Gobies ate my frogspawn tips. Well just bit them off & spit them out. A horned blenny ate about 6 of my ricordea before I figured out it was him.
