What ich medication is best for reefs?

Street judge, the one thing that is for sure is that a good UV will help get rid of the free floating stage ich and therefore reducing it from lifecycle to lifecycle. This to me is key in keeping the fish under control.
You must make sure that you are using a very strong UV min 25w and above, I use a 57w aquauv, it is awesome

Thanks BillReef and Nivram for clearing that up, maybe a Garlic bath before feeding can help, also, good to know what happens to an invert if it feeds from this.

from my experience i use this stuff called microblifte herbtana that has worked for me the 3 times ive used it. it boosts the immune system of the fish. its usually a 10 day treatment. it might not work for eveyone but it has been flawless for me.

my UV is probably too small to handle it, I think mine is an 18 watt. I couldn't fit the larger models under my stand. I haven't changed the bulb in a really long time either. I guess it's time to do so. I'm trying the kick ick stuff one last time. Figured it's a long shot but had no other choice.

Garlic and other "reefsafe" additives have never been clinically proven to affect the Ick parasite or benefit the fishes' immune system. I think your getting a little of the wrong idea here with the garlic. There is an Ich treatment thread in the Sick Fish forum that is a very good read. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...readid=1500214

kick ich did nothing for me i just lost my whole tank i think there are 2 or 3 fish left but there was no change with it. if i had room to set up a hospital tank i would but no space sadly. i have a 25w uv on there but didnt seem to do a whole lot. kinda sick over the whole thing
