What is Happening?

Something is going on but I don't know what. Please look at the galaxia (sp) picture in my gallery. All the heads were open two days ago, and now some are starting to close. Any idea why?

Tank is a 75 gallon, lights are 260W pc 10K, and 260W PC actnic. Tank parameters are PH 8.2, Ca 420, dKh 8.7, Amm 0, nitrates 0, nitrite 0, Phos .1, temp is ~79F. Tank has been set up about two years, but the coral was only added a week ago.

Other tank inhabitants include 3 PJ cardinals, one coral beauty, one green chromis, and one scopas tang, two peppermint schrimp, one brittle star and about 40 varius snails.

Other corals are Xenia, Kenyan tree and zoa's. All of these look fine. I did see a peppermint on the galaxia, could this be the problem?

Sorry for the long post
Thanks
Steve

Looks like something might be bothering them? The rest of the colony looks good, just localized damage. I would watch that your shrimp arent picking it apart; same for your scopas and coral beauty. Look and see if there is any kind of growth on that part of the skeleton- encrusting sponges, etc, that might irritate it. Look for Aptasia nearby that may be stinging that area, as well as any other corals within 6ish inches of the Galaxea (including mushrooms and zoas).
