What is so bad about hamilton 14K

I've been looking at the data from Sanjay.
Phoenix and aqua connect have higher par, but it's not like ridiclously higher.
People say the 14K hammy gives slow growth, but for the price, I think it's a good bulb.

I've used it and I think it's a good bulb. One reason I finally came onboard RC after being in this hobby for 12 years and I've been posting so much is because I wanted to get a feel of what's influencing the market and the buyers nowadays. It's always best to go with your own logic and the "pros" here have done an excellent job providing unbiased research. I've gone from Hamilton, to XM, back to Hamiltion (XM burnt out on me in 6 months while Hamiltons seem to last forever). I'm contemplating using AquaCool's "HO" 14000K bulb next.

I don't have anything to compare it to yet, but I'm been running 14k Hammies for over a year now, and as far as I'm concerned my coloration and growth are very good.

I am currently trying an XM 10k in 1 of my 3 fixtures just to see what, if any, difference there is.

my hammy 14k is really dim compared to other same wattage bulbs. and super slow growth for me.

250w on a PFO standard ballast BTW.

Nothing is bad about them I don't think. I run my 250W SE 14K Hamiltons on Coralvue eballasts. It's also supplemented with VHO actinic and it's the color combination I've been looking for. I've tried XM 20K, Ushio 10K, EVC 14K and I finally settled on the Hamiltons. Growth has been good also so I'm not going to complain.

For my next set I may try the Reeflux 12K just to satisfy my own curiosity. If they don't look any better or get noticable growth over the Hamiltons, I'll switch back.
