What is the deal with these clams

Here are some pics -

I believe the Squamosa's mantle is a bit pinched - freshwater bath time?

Not sure what the deal is with the crocea....
thanks for the help guys!

What are all your water specs? Have you checked for Pyramid snails? What lights are they under?

I wouldn't be so quick to dip :) I had a similar problem once. I ordered a refractometer and my salinity (swing arm hydrometer) was way off. Adjusted it to that and they were happy as clams! ;)

The picture that I am looking at doesn't look to bad other than it looks like he is reaching for more light.

Thanks guys - the lighting is 250 Ushio 10k....he was on the sand bed about 28 inches from the light and he started doing that - I just moved him up to the rock and is now about 12 inches from the light.

Barry from ClamsDirect also said he looks fine but is reaching for light...

What do you think about the squamosa? I have been checking for snails and did find a few....

Crocea will frequently 'ruffle' their mantle-this is a normal response to current and light. Adam
