Can anyone identify what this is growing in my tank and how to get rid of it?

I don't think it's worms. I thought it was algae at first but i didn't think algae grew that long. or had sac like parts

That's not a spaghetti worm. It's Dinos

What I would do is make sure your parameters are stable and with good numbers. What are your current parameters? Please provide exact numbers on them and include sg and temp please.

yes definitely dinos 3 day lights out period followed by large water change with 0tds rodi water and repeat every other week for 3 cycles or more and will go away

salinity 1.026
temp 23 degrees
ph 7.8
ammonia between 0 and 0.25 (that's as accurate as my test goes
nitrites 0
nitrate 0

about 5 months old, 2 clowns and 2 trochus snails.
I've put a towel over it to try and starve it of light, but having read about dinoflagellates, some of the advice is to either replace the rock or boil it for an hour.

NEVER EVER BOIL ROCK!!!!

If it's dino's you can dose the Mag up to about 1800 or higher for a few weeks will usually kill it. But NEVER BOIL rock. NO NO NO The fumes from it can kill you
