what is your ph swing?

i was wandering what your ph runs at night and runs during the day how much does it swing?

Mine runs from 8.1 at lights on to 8.3 at lights off. 13 hour light cycle.

8.01 at lights on to about 8.2 at lights off

8.16 at night and 8.27 during the day.

I drip 2.25ml of Kalkwasser throughout the day.

Before I did that it would be 7.81 at night and 8.16 during the day.

do you have a calcium reactor?

I do.

I was buffering PH daily to get it back to a realistic range so I started dripping Kalk to keep it stable.

ya the reason im asking is i just started using a calcium ractor and my ph is 7.92 im not sure yet what it will be with the lights on before i added it the ph was 8.1 at night and 8.2 during the day.

what would be considered to much of a swing?

I think it would depend on who you ask. I don't get concerned unless mine swings more than 2.5 at the time the lights are on in the morning.

I was unable to keep xenias until I started dripping Kalk. They could not handle the low end PH. All my softies are doing so much better since I moved to my current set up.
