What kind of food do your LPS best respond too?

I was wanting to start feeding my calaustrea and euphyllia species on a regular basis. What kind of food have you had the best results with them accepting. Also, what time of the day do you feed them?

mine have been trained to look for food between 9-11pm. I use supershrimp a.k.a. fortified brine and mysis. I put a small amount in for the fish at 9ish and turn off the main lights and pump off at 10pm. The actinics stay on and I start feeding at that time. Pump stays off until 11pm and then the pump comes back on and the actinics shut off. This is in my BioCube14. We shall see what they think of the timing once I set up a new 75g.

If the feeder tentacles on some of my lps like candy canes are not open, I will blast a bit of cyclopeez into the water or some of the water from the dethawed mysis. I give them a few minutes and most of the time they open up.

Once they open up, I then target feed mysis soaked in selcon and some cyclopeez as well but mostly mysis because it sinks while the cyclopeez will sometimes float up.

Just last night I tried "Rod's Food" for the first time and I couldn't believe the response I got out of my acan lords and other lps. Within a few minutes of putting the food in the water the mouths opened up wider than I have ever seen them before and they stayed like that the rest of the night. I couldn't believe it.
The other nice thing is that my fish and shrimp went absolutely nuts for it too.

I do mysis, cyclops and chopped fresh shrimp and once in a while squid. My plate gets the chopped shrimp a lot as well as the dendro and suncorals. But like everyone else...mysis. Going to order some selcon...never used it before.

Im using shushi eggs and mysisto feed my dendro and LPS . Every now and then i throw in some Rodsfood, Cyclo and brine. I stoped using most foods to feed my tank and use mostly ,the eggs and black worms now, great results if i dont say so myself

Yeah it's great stuff isn't it? I met Rod at a frag swap a few months back and bought my first pack of it. I couldn't believe the response either! He's got everything in there with all different sizes to accomodate everything in the tank.

The heads on my branching hammer stretch like crazy when that stuff hits the tank and every feeder tentacle and polyp comes out. I think I'll go feed some now. :D

Oh yeah... he said no need to rinse it as it's all already been pre-rinsed. If you rinse it, you lose all the microscopic goodies.

I also feed my caulastreas a lot of mysis soaked in selcon and mixed with cyclopeeze. They seem to be growing fast and are very healthy.

Where do i buy this stuff just got some new dendros!

I feed my Frogspawn about once a week and it seems to be doing well since both heads have just recently split off new mouths and will hopefully split the heads soon. I just use whatever I'm feeding the fish on that day from the saltwater multipack. I don't know if feeding actually makes a difference but I think it is fun to watch them eat.

I agree with the majority. Out of phyto, roti's, arctic pods nothing makes the polyps jump out like mysis, namely PE mysis.

Mine respond best when something spawns...but if I'm feeding them Oyster eggs definately are a huge hit. Feeders start coming out about 2 hours before the last set of lights go off and I will usually let them start feeding naturally pretty heavy before I introduce the food. I do this once a week but alternate with mysis.
