What kind of pads? Overflow box

I have a Amiracle 600gph overflow box with a baffle.
It is kind of noisy when the water falls to the other side. Can I get some kind of filter pad for it? Does it have to be a specific brand, thickness, etc... Don't they come in larger sizes and you just cut it to your dimensions? Will someone please point me in the direction of these and what to look for.

You need a standpipe to raise the water level up in the rear.

Reading this http://www.dursostandpipes.com/ shows me that I don't really have the room to do a standpipe because it's an external overflow. I've read about people adding a ball valve. Opinions, anyone???

Sorry to sound stupid but how does this work?

It does two things
1) it raises the height of the water in the drain box, so there is no waterfall noise
2) The airline quiets the gurgling sound. You slide the airline down just far enough to make it quiet.

Does this add any possibilty of overflowing?

No. The one in the pic was used in an Amiracle and it worked very well. I ran the sponge on the outside of it. The water level will be just slightly above the baffle. Once you have the airline tuned, cut it so that the top is below the top of the overflow box.

I posted a pic of it. You need a short piece of 1" PVC, a 1" slip union (home depot) and the 1" slip strainer and airline (LFS).
