I disagree with that. My quoyi swims like a torpedo. I wouldn't do less than 8'. Even that, not ideal, IMO.
Growth hasn't been much, but he was on the large side when I got him. Like I said, my issue is their swimming style. It's not like my other fish...
I agree with you 100%, I forget where it was that had a min tank size listed for a Quoyi at 135g. If I would of said a 300g or larger or 8ft, then everyone starts quoting LiveAquaria...
So are you saying it would be thriving in a 300 and would be just surviving in a 150?
More or less yes. I feel bad for my Quoyi in my 220g because he effortlessly swims the length of the tank in what seems to take only a second. The Quoyi and my orange shoulder are the reason I am driving to North Carolina the end of this month to pick up a 7x6x2ft 625g tank to give my fish more swimming area
