Within my 50 gallon tank, I now have:
1. 2 neon gobies, which i didn't know should be housed singly. they both are living but one is in the open and the other is confined to the inside of a rock.
2. a yellow clown goby
3. a lawnmower blenny
4. a 6-line wrasse
5. a longspine urchin
6. fromia starfish
7. 2 cleaner shrimp
8. 2 queen conches
9. hairy mushrooms
10. orange zoos
11. xenia
12. starburst polyps
13. some snails (WAY TOO FEW)
14. a bit too much algae...esp. hair...

Im gonna get a cleaning crew from reeftopia with 100 hermits and 100 snails for sure....

I'm also gonna get a pair of ocellaris clownfish.

Now I'm wondering what else to stock my tank with. Im thinking of getting:
1. a regal tang (small baby)
2. 5 longspine cardinalfish (i luv how they school together)
3. hammer coral
4. BTA (scared will get sucked into maxijets, maybe too advanced)
5. lettuce nudibranches (scared they will get sucked into my Maxijets)
6. plate coral
7. an open brain coral
8. squamosa or derasa clam (a little advanced).

Which out of these are good choices....and MAKE SUGGESTIONS AS WELL PLZ... hehe. i want a dwarf angelfish as well. i used to have a coral beauty. that was b4 i wiped out my tank a few months ago. i also had a regal tang, clownfish, chromis, and two butterflies....than my goldenhead gobies killed them with sand....only survivor was the 6 line and shrimps.
The tank is quite stable now except for the hair algae....i had a refugium which took care of it but i took it out cus it was an intank refugium....maybe ill get a smaller size refugium and put it in w' some chaeto...

what type of lights are u running? personally i would skip out on the tang they just need a lot of space to swim around. i've read that lettuce nudis have a short life span but i dont have any personal experience with them. but i do have a sea hare and IMO they are great. had him about 3months now.

Algae can be caused by Nitrates and Phosphates. Nitrates and Phosphates can be caused by too much fish. Not necessarily overstocked, but too much fish that generate waste..

Reduce your fish waste by reducing your fish. Then you can get rid of algae.

Then, you can probably reevaluate your specimen list.

PS: No to clams unless you have MH. Basing your lighting on wattage alone is misleading. MH is what clams need.

Good luck, dude.
