What SPS do you place in the highest flow?

I have 2 tunze 6100's. I'm not sure what to put in the direct path of them..

What would you guys recommend?

Epoxying down some danaes?

Something else?

Thanks! =)

A milli and if possible set them lower in the flow and let them grow up into it. Also large stags tend to be really adaptive.

BE CAREFULL doing that.. I've got two 6100's as well and inadvertantly had a Tenuis in the direct path about 16" in front. Came home to a skeleton. All tissue sloughed off the side of the coral facing the Tunze.

i think any coral with a really thick skeletal morphology in the wild would be considered high flow..... off the top of my head... austera, humulis, samoensis... high flow still doesnt mean direct, pressure-like flow

I wouldn't put anything directly in the path of a Stream. Sps like higher random flow...not laminar flow.

They can and do withstand laminar flows often--just not constantly like that provided by a Tunze. Corals most often found in areas of the highest turbulence are massive Porites sp. corals and several others. Beyond that, only various algae proliferate.

I agree that tableing acros are a good choice, however I wouldn't do that without the multicontroller to turn the pump all the way down and slowly increase it.

A. Floridia is also a very good choice. That thing loves flow.

It is my understanding that Tunze's do not produce Laminar flow like standard power heads?

Milles, stag.table, prostata, hummi, samenosis, pocci (keeps them from growing into solid masses along with acro crabs they help tons) Monti Pletimous,Encrusting montis( not all )insignis, austera and birdsnest.

JME and sorry for the sp errors :D
