What streams for 300g

I'm setting up a 300g FOWLR. The tank just arrived yesterday. It's a Tenecor acrylic. I'd really like to use Tunze streams for my circulation but I'm not sure that I'll be able to mount them because of the nature of this tank. The top is enclosed except for access doors.

I'm wondering if mounting will be possible and, if so, what streams are recommended. I probably don't need a multicontroller since it's not a reef but large fish need a lot of circulation too.

You could attach the clamp through the teeth in the overflows or drill a small hole to put the clamp through. The 6080 should work fine for a FOWLR, maybe 2-3 of them.

I hadn't even thought about using the teeth of the overflow. On the other end maybe I could just clamp it using that hole in the back left corner. Thanks Roger!

Roger, about how far does the current go for the different sizes? The site states the GPH but I'm wondering about the distance from the pump that you'd feel the current. The tank is 8' long and I'd like to go with two streams, one on each end, but want to be sure I get ones that a powerful enough to do the job. The research I've been doing shows that large fish need lots of current and oxygen. The tank is enclosed so I'm thinking surface agitation is pretty much completely enclosed so I'm a bit concerned about gas exchange. I'm going to put a 6' LifeReef skimmer on it too though.

I'm confused why a 6080 is recommended. I'd use at least 2 6100s or maybe the 6200 when they come out.

It is a Fish Only so tidal shifts and fancy controls aren't a big deal. You could use three 6080's and timers so two were on at a time and get a good enough effect. The 6080 spans 5ft really welll, 6ft OK. The 6100 and 6200 are both 7ft but the 6200 has a much wider jet 30" vs 24".

Yeah, I wasn't planning on a multicontroller at all considering it's to be a FOWLR. The tank is too big for powerheads and streams are a nice alternative to having to drill the tank for a closed loop. The large fish I want to keep, especially angels, need high circulation but don't need fancy wave action. Considering the 6100's shoot 7' maybe I'll go for a pair of those.
