what was it called when the flesh just starts dying off?

One of my frags is just losing flesh. It's got full PE and has been growing and encrusting the plus very well. Within 3 days 15% of it is already dead.

Remove it & try & frag off the dead stuff & hope for the best.there must be something going on with your water chemistry.

Frag it asap
I had a big coral that got RTN, I had to frag it twise within 2 months, removed the piece that had RTN on it and now 4 months later it is growing like crazy and healthy.

Ya when I get home I'm going to go check my dkh. Though last time I checked which was a week ago it was 9.5. Calcium at 480 Ph 8.22

Everything else is doing fine. Maybe I'll do another water change. Only thing I can think of which directly corresponds to when it started is that I just changed my top from the glass to eggcrate. Don't know if the more light did it or I just ****ed it off

Did you test your dkh?
