What watt halide do I need for a 30'' tall tank

I have a 30'' tall tank and have 150w hqi light fixture, Just wanted to know if this would work or do I need 250w?

I vote 250s for sure. 30 inches tall is a pretty demanding height. I would be looking at keeping Acros on the top of your Rock work.

I use 400s on my 30" tall.

400s would work also but then you would have more heat added to the tank

250 with a good reflector 400 with a cheap reflector.

I have 250's on my new 30" tall tank and would like to go to 400's. Would definitely recommend at least 250's.
