It would require mixing a solution in rodi water and sending it odd to triton labs and get an analysis of it. They don't publish that information publicly. Nobody I am aware of has ponied up the money to find out because most reefers who know about triton/ICP testing don't really mess around with the Red Sea system. It is a safe assumption that they include a mixture of some basic natural seawater trace elements mixed with some bioavailable organics and they calculate the dosage based on alkalinity consumption. Most people that perform ICP testing prescribe to an individual element correction protocol. Which the Red Sea system is not. It's a shotgun approach

Really, you know this from your vast experience or was it just something that was written on a bathroom wall? I've used the Red Sea Colors for over two years now and I an certain my SPS coral color is better for doing so. When we have been away on vacation for a couple of weeks and I haven't used their product the corals are noticeably less colorful, but recover in a few weeks of renewed testing. I have run ICP tests and all my trace elements are in range (except my Strontium which was a little low).

I agree. Too much advice based on "opinions" on RC and not based on user experience.
I try not to comment unless I personally experienced smthg and not just guess at what I've read someone else say. I'm not perfect and sure I've said stuff off the cuff.
Im frustrated with RC bc many 1,000+ posters read a comment that a 5,000 poster heard a 10,000 poster say.
Talk about "heard it thru the grapevine" trickle down effect....
Frustrating when I ask a question that leads to posters....not answering the question....but judging you by saying, " why are you doing bkahblahblah?....bc I know for a fact, blah blah blah" when in reality its only smthg they have formed an opinion on or heard secondhand thru other resources
I run a calrx and didn’t supplement anything for over a year. A few months back I started blind dosing abcd at around 1ml three to five times a week and probido strontium once a month(120g tank)No water changes except a little new water when I sold corals which isn’t often. Blues and greens are far more vibrant that’s for sure and as soon as I started supplementing my bta’s started splitting like crazy also. What correlation does it all have? Don’t know but for the price I’ll keep it up.

Yes I'm speaking from my own personal experience. I ran it for a year and did not notice any difference. And my ICP test show the exact same amount of trace elements before and a year after(eveything in range with the exception of elevated aluminum which was attributed to marine pure) Also we all know there are issues with the methods and subsequent results of ICP tests. So why even mention ICP testing?
I personally feel a lot of Red Sea stuff is quite a bit of placebo effect. But hey, if you want to keep throwing unknown stuff into your tank, then by all means have at it. I'm just sharing my experience which apparently because I dpn't have a huge tank and 50 years experience is not valid in your eyes.
Sorry I even post around here sometimes. And people wonder why RC is dying. It's all the old stiffs that know it all and post like it and no one else experience is valid.

Thanks for your input. I always hate to see debates turn into to personal arguments.
I agree that too many RC posters aren't friendly in their approach.
The formula to a great forum community is:
1) answer the persons question directly
2) backup your answer with your own personal experience
3) don't post an answer unless you have firsthand knowledge (I personally don't touch posts when I have little to no experience in what they are asking)

RED SEA Colours program must be dosed exactly as they describe. Not enough and you will see no difference, too much and it's a coral killer, likely a build up of the metals. Drab corals it does nothing for, but I have seen a noticeable improvement over the last 6 months in LPS and SPS.
In the LPS, light pinks appear more reddish, and natural blues darkened as well.
In SPS, one of my brownish acro, now starting to pick up a more bluer colour.
Of course, the corals actual colours don't change, but for the my most colourful brains, Acans and scolymias, clearly a darkening effect.
I dose daily through my ATO, but if you use this stuff, make sure you do frequent water changes so the metals don't build up.
