WHAT'S IN red sea colors ABCD

Yes I'm speaking from my own personal experience. I ran it for a year and did not notice any difference. And my ICP test show the exact same amount of trace elements before and a year after(eveything in range with the exception of elevated aluminum which was attributed to marine pure) Also we all know there are issues with the methods and subsequent results of ICP tests. So why even mention ICP testing?

I personally feel a lot of Red Sea stuff is quite a bit of placebo effect. But hey, if you want to keep throwing unknown stuff into your tank, then by all means have at it. I'm just sharing my experience which apparently because I dpn't have a huge tank and 50 years experience is not valid in your eyes.

Sorry I even post around here sometimes. And people wonder why RC is dying. It's all the old stiffs that know it all and post like it and no one else experience is valid.

Apologizes on my part for my less than tactful reply, I let your "snake oil" jab get to me. Having had conversations with the chemist at Red Sea who developed their Colors Program I can assure you the product is not snake oil. Yes Red Sea relied on ICP testing themselves in determining the quantities of chemicals they included in their colors program and while not perfect, ICP testing is the best methodology currently available. Sorry your results were not as positive with their product as mine.

Maybe this forum isn’t for you...

Maybe RC vets should treat newcomers with a little more respect and kindness

Every man who posts wants respect even if their answers might be a skewed a little. I've been hanging around RC for 2mos (?). I don't ever recall flat out disrespecting someone else unless they threw the first jab/punch.

I do recall 4-6 times RC vets throwing punches at me for voicing my opinion. One poster went as far as to call me a "pansy"....another one an "irresponsible adult"...... Another a "crybaby".....I don't care who you are and how much reef knowledge you have, you shouldn't treat people that way by disrespecting them

I might switch over to R.2.R. to see if the Dilly Dilly Knights of the Roundtable exists over there. I'm sure some of you would be thrilled to see me post elsewhere.... In must bring out A-holeness in people on this board. Idk

Why keep stirring the pot?

Lol r2PC, maybe you should go there, as they are the friendliest reef forum. But advice is dictated by a bunch of noobs for the most part and if go against their mindset and "œexperts" expect to be mob shunned lol

I post equally on both. Only difference I take note of is the number of times I've been warned and flagged (3-4 times here, none there). Rules here are far more strict.

Obviously this is way off topic, but I think this place is plenty kind enough. I think you need to consider that there are many ways to keep a successful reef tank, and that for every opinion you give, others will give one that is different. And for good reason. The problem is, when you offer a solution, if someone with a high post count says they'd do it differently you get offended. Typically the way you word your opinions is very, let's say, final. As if that's the only way there is. And then you frequently argue. You literally have dozens of posts where you just edit everything out later because you try arguing then give up and delete everything. It's why you were specifically called a cry baby before. You take great exception to anyone that feels they'd do it s different way that you. And then you knock others for having a bad attitude, and people with high post counts as unwelcoming. I'm not sure why. One of the most interesting parts of this hobby is how many ways you can be successful. If every thread here just agreed with each other, that'd boring.

On topic as far as what direction the thread is heading.....in my experience in the hobby I've been very vocal on forums. Just am. And I've relied on them exclusively. I have no lfs. No local reef community. I just don't understand the sensitivity of differing opinions. Even if they're presented a hair abrasively.

My goal in the hobby has always been to find the tanks I am most impressed with, and emulate the philosophy, equipment, and maintenance regiment as closely as I can within my budget. The goal has always been to find a tank I love and copy. Not seek out random equipment and hope someone will recommend it.

If someone you know and respect is running the Red Sea system and you're envious of their success, by all means run the Red Sea system. Seek out a specific person or persons advice. It's a lot more productive that way. Just my $0.02.

If you've never seen a tank you love running the Red Sea system, no point in even investigating

Says the member that created multiple alts on R.2,R, to stir the pot time and time again. The member that created an alt account to post inappropriate adult content because you had it in for another member. That is just he tip of the iceberg so save us your higher than thou post.

Uhhh ok.... 🧐 and reported.

Why do I have to keep dealing with a couple members that can't seem to take a hint?

I have a solution to that reoccurring problem but it doesn't benefit either involved so please, stop. Ignore. Whatever.

Lol NO3's threads always turn into such a convoluted mess of fecal slinging
