What's in your refugium?

With things constantly changing in this hobby and me about to switch filtration system, I was wondering what you have in your refugium?

From what I've read I heard that's a waste of money.

Actually I always confused the 2. I use the miracle mud.

I don't use sand. If just using cheato your really don't need it. I'd you have mangroves you need some form of substrate for them to root into.

Not true, I have no sand and my mangroves are suspended with the roots just in water. You can bury them but not necessary. I started mine from five propagules I found at the beach. They wash up all the time. I wish I had a bigger refugium for more but that's all I have room for.

That's cool. Never seen them without substrate. I stand corrected. lol

I grow them in a 265 gal refugium out back, Also suspended in water column with no substrate.
