whats the best way to set up a reef tank from the start

Large Polyp Stony, as opposed to Small Polyp Stony. We have forums dedicated to various types of coral. Go to each and read extensively while you're waiting to cycle. You should wait to pick out your skimmer and your lights once you know what kind of coral you want.

Just got 70 gallons of catalina water in my tank and sump with about 25lbs of cured live rock a long with about my 60lbs of dried out rock i got from a friend. Let the cycling begin! all seems good so far have a small leak by the bulkhead think I just might need to tighten it. Thanks for the help thus far still a long way to go

So now that my tank is cycling. I do water test daily right? everything seems to be going as it should be as far as i know lol
