What's the difference between zoas and palys?

paly's incorporate sand into their stocks and mutual tissues. They also tend to have a certain "look" and accpet food more redilly than zoa's, but this is very general.

If you have a fairly powerful magnifying glass you can see the sand in the "stalks". Just look at a few under good lighting and you can really recognize the difference...keep in mind that Palys are in fact zoanthids...as "zoanthid" really just refers to the colonial growth pattern....
