I'm just thinking that for me the most delicate clam has been a crocea. I currently have 2 maximas, 1 squamosa, 1 deresa, & 1 crocea. The T. crocea was just added last Friday. This will my 3rd attempt to add a crocea. The other tries resulted in death in 24hrs!
I'm not sure what's going on because I slowly acclimate (measuring Ph & salinty of the original water) to my tank & acclimation times vary depending on water parameter differences, with the closer in values my water is to the LFS's = shorter acclimation time.
All the other clams are doing good - it just seems to be crocea's that are giving me trouble. But so far I'm past the "dead in 24hrs before death" mark. The mantle is still not fully open on one side.
What in your opinions are the most delicate clams & am I doing something wrong?
