Whats the next popular coral?

People want what they cant have....if its hard to get it will be "popular."

I like the Cyphastreas too Gflat. They often develop a different shape than most of the other stuff in the tank. There arent many varieties around either although I wonder if this is b/c thats all there is out in the ocean.

I have seen pinks, reds and greens but nothing else. They are also almost always monochromatic with the exception of Tyree's meteor shower.

Larry at edens gate has one (what he thinks is C. microphthalma)that is baby blue with greenish centers (or vice versa). I had it until the move. The picture of the mother colony was nice...

Cyphastrea are my favorite corals also. You should get the Tyree Meteor Shower and the Red Eye along with Atlantis other one. Place them close to each other and let them grow into small colonies. Amazing to look at.

Could be.....seems like a lot of them out there right now though. And they take up tons more space than the micros do!

Any coral that has a rare color morph will be popular. A long with endangered species.

So just back from IMAC and the hot corals there (well, its hard to say b/c nothing seemed to be selling all that fast) were zoanthids, blassos, acans, duncans, micros and a few oddball LPS. Seems like nothings changed much at least here in the Midwest. Oh there were a few crazy open brains but way too rich for my blood!
