What's your alk/ca consumption rate?

30 gal display, 35 gal sump/fuge, 3 3"sps frags, 1 1"sps frag, 4x4"brain, blasto frag, frogspawn frag.(thats all my calcium consumers aside from snails) I drip 1 gallon of 1.5 tsp/gal kalk. per day and it matches my demand perfectly.

180G display, heavily stocked SPS dominant.

Alk, Randy's #2: 920ml daily
Ca, Randy's #1 x 1.5 concentation: 380ml daily

Both dosed with Profilux 20 times a day.

BRS product.. mixed to their specs.

300G Tank, heavy SPS, LPS makeup and several large clams.

400ML of Alk and Ca per day and about half a gallon or so of Mg once every other week to maintain Mg at 1400.

75 gal (90 gal total volume) mixed reef with 35 sps corals (8 lg colonies, 11 med-lg colonies, 7 small colonies, & 9 frag size), 10 LPS corals (2 med Euphyllia, 1 med Caulastrea, 4 med-lg Fungia, 3 small Acans) and I dose 76 mL of B-Ionic 2 part per day.

Post up FTS of your tank if possible!

I gotta see whats going on with my tank.

~300ml a day of BRS two part...

190 gallon display, aprox 300 gallon total water volume with frag tank. Pretty SPS heavily dominated tank.

On my 95g sps dominated heavily stocked. I dose ESV b-ionic 2 part. I dose alk 10ml and ca 40ml. I do weely water changes, and I use dd h2o salt.

Driftin: Which product are you using? How much are you adding? Have you checked your Mg level recently?

I think I just underestimated how much my 70 gallon tank could consume. I go through 10 gallons of kalk a week, but still need to supplement with 2-part daily. I thought I might have bad test kits, or precipitation, but now I'm thinking I just under estimated my load.

So far, my tank consumes nothing which is not replenished with a 10% weekly WC.

My tank is a 29 with six smallish SPS, a frogspawn, three smallish acans, a small favia, and four fish. Lots of snails.

My big three params come in at about 430, 9.6, and 1250 - week in and week out. I test right before each water change.

I keep waiting for the day to come when my 10% WC's don't keep up with the demand, but so far that has not happened.

I dose around 1200 ML per 24 hours. My system is roughly 700 gal (400 gal sps display) and I use Randy's 2 part recipe #2.

Oldude, why not have a calcium reactor? Its seems once you get into large systems, dosing two part just doesn't seem practical. Just wondering why you chose two part and not a ca reactor?
