When should I add my fish?

I just set up my 75 gal DT Sunday, using dry rock that I seeded with live and cycled in a rubbermaid for approx 2 months. I don't remember all of my numbers but I saw the expected rise in ammonia and nitrates though my levels never got super high (I missed the nitrites, I only tested every few days). A month or so later I tossed about 1/2 tsp of fish pellets into the rubbermaid with the rock just to see if I'd get an ammonia spike - nothing. Set up was with live sand also.

The plumbing all checks out except the skimmer - it is a used Vertex Omega 150 and is overflowing like crazy. I need to raise it up on a platform, which I will stop and get after work tomorrow. Hoping that will fix the problem (the guy I bought it from, very trustworthy person in my local reef club, suggested this). Lights are hung. The water cleared up right away and looks crystal now.

I checked today - ammonia, nitrites and nitrates all 0.

I have a pair of clowns ready to move to their new home, they have been through TTM and quarantine for a month-ish - eating well and happy.

When is it safe to move them?

I would say you are pretty good to move them now. If you are super worried about getting stuff in the tank you dont want, eg crypto then wait till 6-9 weeks of qt to be sure they are parasite free, but imo, its the first fish in, if they been in qt for a few weeks. tank is ready and cycled, then throw them in and get the party started.

if it were my tank and fish i would treat with prazipro and ghist feed my tank until the treatment cycle finished then add but you could add thenbtreat prazi is reef safe

They got prazipro in QT, sorry I should have said.

I'm not worried about the fish's health so much as whether the tank is safe for them. I put them through a good QT...TTM, Prazi and a treatment for brook

If you put anything live from another tank, you should consider waiting 76 days to make sure there isn't any ick in the tank. Other than that, sounds like you are good to go.

Since he did the tank transfer method they should be ich free.

I'm not referring to the fish. I was talking about live rock/ sand/ coral/ inverts. TTM doesn't work for those things, you have to leave them fallow for 76 days.

The rocks have been fallow for at least that long, but thanks it was a good thought to remember!
