Im completely new to all this as some of you might of seen in my last post. I heard that the club has meetings, and was wondering when and where the meetings are. I also wanted to know what they are like, are they a bunch of guys hanging out talking about their experiences and tanks? or what should I expect. I'd really like to go if I'm not in class or working... Im sure Ill learn alot. Can someone please fill me in?

Thanks,
Laz

Events: General Meeting
The next meeting will be held at the New River Middle School on Tuesday, November 27th at 7:15 pm. This month's topics will be Electrical 101 and Advanced Plumbing techniques. Get map and directions.

Meetings are at the riverland middle school off of riverside dr. and 441 in Ft. Lauderdale.

They usually start at 7pm and go up until 10pm. They are almost always held on Tuesdays.

For a new member you must go through a common ritual... Kind of like a fraternity but you don't have to run through campus naked.

Just make sure you bring a 3' wooden spoon, mustard, a shepards pie, keys to a 1967 volkswagen bug, and a goat and or chicken.

lol :D

For real though, the club meetings are alot of fun. You talk to many club members about there setups, problems, discounts and anything you can think of. There is also a huge aquarium at the school that FMAS keeps in shape. There is usually a guest speaker with presentations like fish diseases, members setups, coral propagation to diving pictures, photography in the aquarium, and new advancements in the industry.

Lots of fun and something I look forward to each month.

Thanks alot for the info guys... I will be there for sure if I can get the night off of work. Anyone live in miami, between Coral Gables and Dolphin Mall area that wants to carpool if I get the night off?

Id love to get some guidance in person as to what I should look for to start my setup. RacerMike has been helping me tons already but it would be good to sit down and draw/write it on paper with someone.
