Where to buy acrylic rods??

I'm getting close to drilling my dry rock and inserting the rods. I'd read on other threads where people had bought acrylic driveway reflectors for this purpose but all of the ones available around my parts are metal. Is there a good source online for acrylic rods for this purpose??

US Plastics has them also and really good prices. I bought 6 rods in different sizes for my 210g when I start stacking the rock.
I bought the clear extruded acrylic rods as they are cheaper than the cast.

Wow, ask and you shall receive!!
I was frustrated searching online, you all made it very easy for me!! I have ordered and can't wait to start stacking rocks!!

I wasn't sure how much I might need but I ordered
40' of 3/8"clear extruded acrylic rod and 10' of 1/2 " (the same material.) from US plastic. I also ordered a 12 x 12" 1/10" thick piece of acrylic so that I could cut some small squares that I will glue to the end of the dowel to so that the rock won't slide off the rod. I have some Weld On that should work for this job. The rock that I bought from Bulk Reef Supply is so lightweight and porous that I don't think it's going to be difficult to drill. Getting the aquascaping to come out the way you "dream", now that might be another story. :)

I drilled my rock from Bulk Reef Supply and it was pretty easy. I also put three acrylic rod legs under the bottom pieces to hold them up off the sand a bit. Be sure to cure that rock in the dark for a while if you haven't already. It released a lot of crud.

Just used Tap Plastics. While the prices were similar to US Plastics, the shipping rates were better at Tap. Saved a few $$$.

I'm lucky TAP is a short drive from me. :)

They're not supposed to be cheap, but fortunately they're local and I can get everything there, ask questions, etc.

I just received my order and I'm very pleased. I ordered 40 ' of 3/8 (they sent me 42') and 10 ' of the 1/2" (they sent me 12'). Can't beat that!!

I have Weldon to glue the rod to an acrylic square (for a post/base) but what would I use to glue around the top of the rod( to keep it from sliding off the rock?)

kind of open to whatever you want. a blob of epoxy would do, or a ball/plate of acrylic with weldon. whatever suits your tastes.

not sure theres a big concern with rocks lifting OFF the post lol, gravity usually has you covered there.
