it must weigh a ton at 211gal. and since I'm brand new to the hobby I'm not sure if I could handle 211gal. Thanks for the link anyway.
yep, it is a glass tank. though i have not seen it in real life...starphire glass tanks are gorgeous to look through...it just makes the tank seem a 'little' more alive.
at $400 for a 211 with Steel stand...you will not find a tank with regular glass for twice that price.
now, onto tank size.
yes, 211g is a big tank...but, contrary to popular belief...it is much easier to maintain a big tank than a little 30g one. daily freshwater evap will be less of an impact than on a smaller tank. to sum it up...it is much, much easier to maintain a tank with more water volume.
for example...my 180g main display tank is plumbed into additional tanks that just really just hold extra water to obtain a volume about 450g. yes, my total water volume is twice the size of my display...all for the sake of stability.
though big tanks seem undaunting...in actuality, with a some reading and starting slow...you will find it actually harder to maintain smaller tanks (if you decide to have one).
the one big disadvantage of big tanks? yep, you guessed it...BIG MONEY!!!
