Being very new to reefing I dont want to mess around too much and I have no idea what spectrum i need to play with anyway.
I started out with Radiant Colour (intensity 65%) for a few days and it started well then as coral came into the tank i switched to high coral growth (intensity 70%) and before you knew i was bombarded with algae growth. Now I know its a new tank and algae will grow but i made a few changes.
I switched the High Coral growth to 2 hrs less high peak and reduced to 65% intensity, it worked a bit and algae definitely reduced.
I have now switched back to Radiant Colour (intensity 60%) and it has really worked, algae really reduced.
My question is there a better program as the only thing I dont like is there is a lot of blue toward the end of the lighting day. If I could adjust it to show more of a natural reducing light that would be great.
Any programs or tips?
