Would you go with a dual brs reactor (GFO and Carbon) or single reactor and just switch to either GFO or Carbon when needed?

I'd go with the single reactor and buy both GFO & carbon. In 2 years with my current tank, I've run GFO for about 6 weeks about a year ago (never have run carbon).

I strongly advise 2 reactors. You never know when you will need to run something.....

Reefing is redundancy....

You can, and many do, it's just not the most efficient way of doing it. What usually happens is you need to change the one before the other and waste some.
Also the need for different flow rates makes it not work as well as it could.

thanks everyone....one more question: In the dual reactor can you run just one side...or do you need to fill both sides for the reactor to work?
