Actually, now that I am looking at some of these products.. in a sense SeaChem claims that HyperSorb is better than carbon, but that Purigen is up to 500 percent.
For the people who have used Carbon (Please write which kind you've used) and either HyperSorb or Purigen or both... what you found was better and why? I would love to hear everyone's comments. I currently use Marineland Black Diamond in a Phosban Reactor and I love it. My water is clear and the quality is awesome (0 NH4 - NH3 - NH2). My tank being a soft coral dominated tank seem to be happy with eachother and I believe the carbon/phosban reactor combo is catching most of the toxins before they affect the neighboring corals.
I will ask in the SeaChem thread/forum what the differences of Carbon/Purigen/HyperSorb is though I am betting it has been asked.
