White sponge growth

Hi everyone. I have noticed some white sponge like growth in between one of my zoas. I'm not sure if they are good or bad. Looks like they have a hole for water to flow through. Can anyone chime in? Thanks

It makes no problems an loocks verry intersting

I have quite a bit of it in my tank as well. It doesn't seem to be harming anything.
