white stuff on new snails

I just got a small cleanup crew in my 90g, alot of the snails now have this white stuff that will fall off, sometimes be stringy hanging from them, what is this? here is a pic.. not really the best.. but maybe will give you an idea.

Hard to say. Could just be a small hitchhiker of some sort. I wouldn't worry at this point.

I am starting to think is my sand, its southdown.. very fine and white like that.
