Where can i buy pure white sugar sand? Not tan or eggshell, but really pure white like household sugar. I've tried 3 times online only to receive some light tan stuff they call white - which it is not. I need only about 5 lbs or so.
TIA

oh, and I forgot, it does not need to be live sand, in fact dead sand is preferred

Are you looking for calcium based sand or silicate? If silicate sand is ok, HD/Lowes can fix you up. If it's calcium based, it's all a little off-white at best IME.

My sister lives in Pensacola. That is one of the primary sources of pure white sugar sand. If I was there I could get you plenty.

fishgate: I wish i was there in Pensacola, I'm only looking for a pound or two. Just enough to do a light covering in my small 29 gallon tank ( a BioCube )

billdogg: I dont care about the composition as long as its a nice pure sugar white with fine grains. I'll check HD and Lowes here locally and see what they have
