I purchased this white toadstool a few months back it's been doing amazing blur slowly turning its polyps to brownish colour, wondering if it could be my lighting?
I have marineland reef capable LEDs but plan in upgrading to Radions in the next few weeks.
The picture of it with white polyps was taken July 13th I bought it in June.

maybe when you bought it it was bleached or stressed so much that it turned white because it expelled all of its zooxanthellae.....the browning could be a good sign it's starting to 'colour' up/zooxanthellae starting to recover

Brown is the natural colour for mushroom/toadstool leathers. But if you keep it in high light you may be able to keep it white - there is a LFS here that has pretty spectacular white leathers and kenya trees which he has kept in a display for years. When he frags them and put them into another tank - they will turn brown. The white looks very unique.

So maybe Radions will help it bounce back?

find out what the lighting was at the place you bought it. More lighting will help - can't really tell you the exact light regiment that will keep it white.

its not really "bouncing back" because the natural colour is brown.
