Who Have Witness The Storm Mode

I have my controller set on Storm Mode 1 hr/day. My storm mode kick off at 1830 everyday. It started with Interval and rotate to different pump throughout the 4 channel then set itself on a very fast pulse mode. It was amazing to watch the storm mode and of course my sand starting to shift around.

The first time i notice the storm mode i thought my controller was acting up because two pumps all the sudden stop while the other running pull blast then rotate. Then the rear left and front right running to create a circular motion then the opposite pump doing the same thing create the reverse circle.... It is pretty cool...

I hope you all understand what i am trying to explain... Cuz i don't even know what i am talking about because i am so excited about this thing... :lol:

Sounds like something I would like to see. Does it seem like something that will be helpful to remove detritus?

my wife called for me today while I was out in the yard. She said "your tank it going crazy!" It was the storm mode and wow, very cool. all kinds of junk flying around the tank.

Yes, it help removing detritus for sure... Even my sand bed shifting around...

Dan, the 7096 will do more than the 7095 esp with the storm mode. I found myself sitting in front of the tank every day at 6pm waiting for the storm mode. it is amazing to watch my tank going crazy while on storm mode...

I dont think you can set the time. I think 1hr 1 day means you will get a storm every 25 hrs. days/hours is the frequency.

The duration and storm function are preprogrammed, the details are on page 48 of the PDF manual. You can only program how often it will happen, you have it set to generate a storm every 25hrs.

„Storm cycle“ - storm for desedimentation
Like in nature and similar to the random current, the „Storm cycle“ is used to desediment the reef structures in
the aquarium. The storm-like current is not in operation permanently, but only several times a day or a week,
which can be programmed correspondingly.
This function can be activated in the „Options“ field.
The frequency of the „Storm cycle“ can be set from one hour to seven days.
The „Storm cycle“ is based on a fixed and precise pump cycle which controls all four pump outputs for five
minutes according to the following programme:
Pump 1 -> 20 seconds
Pump 2 -> 20 seconds
Pump 3 -> 20 seconds
Pump 4 -> 20 seconds
Pumps 1 +2 -> 20 seconds
Pumps 3 + 4 -> 20 seconds
Pumps 1 + 3 -> 20 seconds
Pumps 2 + 4 -> 20 seconds
Pumps 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 -> 20 seconds
Pumps 1 + 2 -> 30 seconds
Pumps 3 + 4 -> 30 seconds
Pump 1 -> 10 seconds
Pump 2 -> 10 seconds
Pump 3 -> 10 seconds
Pump 4 -> 10 seconds
Pumps 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 -> 20 seconds
Position the pumps in the aquarium is such a way that the „Storm cycle“ cannot cause any water damage !

Actually I already read it.
But as stupid as it my look I find it hard to fully understand.
I will try to ask some guiding questions in order to fully understand this function:

1. Is the timing random?
2. Can I choose the time during the day it will start?
3. If I set it only on 1hr in will go for 5 min every hour?
4. If I set it on 23hr 7days what will happened?

1) it should start so many hours after you set it, it is not random.
2) if you set it at 5 PM and choose 1 day, the next day at 5PM it should run its first cycle.

4) It will run every 7 days and 23hrs.
