Who killed my arrow crab?

I have a 28G nanocube with 1 fire shrimp, 1 CBS and Arrow Crab (deceased).
I have a lot of bristleworms, I bought the CBS to deal with them when he didn't care, my LFS said to buy the arrow crab. Arrow crab didn't care about the worms either, they were even snatching up food right under his feet. I read that Arrows are predators and can attack the CBS. Well, my CBS in good health and arrow is nowhere to be found. I saw one leg about a week ago. I don't think he is in hiding due to molting. Do you have any occasions that CBS attacking Arrow?

How big is the CBS? They get to be quite "rowdy" the older they get, especially in small tanks.

I'd vote CBS, like said above, they can be on the aggressive side sometimes. The arrow could've also went to attack the CBS and lost.. but we will never know as anything could happen in our tanks, it could've just died and been scavenged by pods for all we know..

Bluezoo also says they can jump out of acclimation buckets, check the floor..

CBS is about 2". I thought he would go after the fire shrimp, but as long as fire shrimp stays away he doesn't bother him. It could be Arrow bugged him.

Oh well. I am planning to put a camera, but it won't be possible to capture everything, especially behind rocks and with lights out..

+1 for CBS. I had one in a 37g and it was aggressive toward other inverts, and would even attack passive fish. Gave him back to a LFS

For the two days I had him.. mine grabbed my hand and they do have a strong pinch! :angryfire:

He even was still reaching out of the water waiting for me to come back.. I came back 5 minutes later and he was still there waiting..

I've seen an arrow crab attack cb that was always peaceful with other tank mates and even cleaner shrimp and it ripped the arrow crab in to pieces.
