will different types of elegance sting each other?

I have orange and purple tipped. They are place less than a foot apart. Is that o.k?

I would worry if they came into contact. They have strong stinging cells.

Thanks. I'll move them farther apart. One of them was swollen up last night like a football. It was also expelling some stuff that looked like mucous. Is that it being stressed and stinging or is that how they get rid of excess nutrients?

Probably just releasing waste.
