Will zoas retract if given more light?

I have a nice big rock full of Sunny D zoas. A huge colony above the rock has shaded them, and they've resorted to stretching way out to get some light. This morning I moved their rock out of the shade and into more direct light.

Will they retract back to normal looking zoas again?

Zoas tolerate anything from low to high light, slow to medium high ( but not direct) flow.

Just leave them and they will adjust.
