there it is, its about 5lbs of dry sand which was washed, as u can see from the ripple above the water i have good flow throughout, and i aquascaped so its porous so water flows easly. i covered the front view of the intake for the powerhead so it sucks in more from the back thus creating more flow in the back. i used LR and LW (live water ) from my estblshed tank. i'll post up more pics. lighting is a 10 watt 50/50 compact flourscent, 10watts is okay since i wont be doin anything other than zoos and other softies. no shrooms though they'll take over too fast

i put a hermit from my main tank in, to test if it'll survive the night's cold. then in a couple days, will add another hermit, about 3 snails and 1 turbo (4 total) and a CBS for sure. any ideas for a fish? or is a fish and CBS too much? i think its too much.

oh and is a 2" sandbed for this size of a tank considered DSB? does it give the benefits of a DSB?
