worms? shrimp? help!

first, i have 2 little white shrimp like things in my rock only tank with a choc. chip star fish and 1 hermit crab and snails. they look like ghost shrimp. sorry no pics. second i found little white worms on the glass,about 1/8 to 1/4 long and can extend to about 1". i'll try to get some pics. soon. any ideas? ..... the shrimp are about 1/4 long. thanks jeff

They could be copepods... do they have little legs or antennae at the ends of them? Also, if they look like little miniature shrimp, then they are definitely pods. Not bad for the tank.

If they don't have legs, then I'm not too sure....could be flatworms?

That page might be useful. Could have been an amphipod or a copepod. Google will turn up a variety of pictures.

thanks guys. amphipod is the winner on the shrimp things. i'll try to google the worm again but can't seem to find them. melevsreef is awsome,alot of great pics. great for us newbees.
