Would you buy?

LFS has a couple nice sps corals that they want to move and are willing knock 25 bucks off each piece. Problem is they have a lot of pests on the plugs, aptasia and manjo at least, I can quarantine, but do you think it is worth the hassel and risk of missing something and adding a pest to my big tank?

aptasia and majano are easily removed in quarantine. Id be more concerned with other pests

The tank they are in look like wild kingdom lol but the corals look nice if you don't look at the giant aptasia in the tank

A lighter, or perhaps a wire brush. Burn it or scrub it. If the price is right though... GL.

I agree. If you can, remove it from the plug and remount it.

if you miss any aiptasia tissue upon manual removal, it will regrow a new aip. you might want to consider using 'aiptasia x', or other product specifically designed for aip removal.

I would do it. If the coral is out of the tank aiptaisa is pretty easy to use. I would try a syring (from my test kit) and some lemon juice. Just hold the coral so it doesn't drip into the coral.
