This would be used for a sump application. Does the bottom frame add that much in strength or is it mainly for aesthetics? I might be interested but I"m not sure if the extra 3" will be a help or hindrance.
If you are going to use it as a sump, you could put duct tape around the bottom. I know someone who did that with a 29 gallon once and it worked out very well. Used it that way for over 2 years before he finally took it down. Never had a problem.
