WTB: 70W Viper light.

Oh ok.. 600 then :D
It will be for FW so I don't think I need a lot of flow :) .. I love it.. It's the coolest 10G tank I've seen so far.

Elite it all depends on if you are going to put in CO2 or not. What fixture puts out 26 watts?

I won't put in CO2 for this tank. If I setup a 210G then I will get a CO2 bottle.

The light looks like a coralife fixture but I'm not sure. It has 2x13W bulbs. I don't even know where to get the bulb for it :D. I bought the fixture used from another reefer.

why thank you, if i remember right it was 13.5 total gallons

10.9 Dispaly
2.6 built in

12x16x16 all

W/o any CO2 you are gonna have to stick with the easier to grow plants. You may want to look into dosing seachem excel. You should be fine with 26 watts, if you go higher I would not go over a 40w Current USA satellite fixture.

Yeah I will just get something very easy. I registered on SFBAAPS forum. Hopefully they will send me a log in soon so I can read some more. Thanks for your help :)

i have a 70watt viper that has a dead ballast (like 1 month old, and it died) that I was going to sell. I also have a brand new ARO magnetic ballast that can be soldered on. Let me know if you're interested ;) I might just use it as a fuge light =/

Cool, I'll tell Bill (the admin of the site) to get on it, hahaha. He is actually going to help me breakdown my planted tank today and set up another saltwater tank. Its funny how we are moving in opposite directions. Do let me know if you need anything, I have plenty of ferts and what not.

Here are a couple of pics maybe a little less than two weeks apart of a 10g with 65w pc lights and pressurized co2.. You can see the pearling and oxygen all over the surface of the water..

Here is an old pic of a low light 20g I did.. This tank only had 26watts of pc's over it in the form of 2x13w.. The plant growth is much more manageable.. You can use seachem excel as a carbon replacement instead of co2..

IF you are going to go with the halide you might want to think about keeping the co2 setup... Just get a canister filter and I have a couple of co2 reactors laying around here somewehre...

I have a Rena Filstar Canister Filter xP3. It's over kill for a 10G but I think it should be fine. Less water change :D ..

How big is your CO2 bottle? I sold my setup already :( ..

I normally use 20lbers because they are the biggest bang for the buck.. They can normally be bought filled for right around $100..

Yeah I will need a regulator/solenoid too. That would be another $70-$150 .. :(
