WTT: Chem-Tech / Reef Filler Dosing pump for a different kind

Garrick now I can see the 2nd dial you were talking about. I only have one on my ReefFiller. What is the 2nd dial for?

Dave, that dial is for adjusting the length of the stroke which will dictate the amount of fluid being pumped with each stroke.

Garrick. Im not all that familiar with the way you have it set in the pic. I would use the "bleed valve" (like it shows on the front page of the manual ) but simply keep it closed. I would also suggest mounting that thing on the wall so the motor (white part) is the lowest on the wall, so the discharge line is actually coming out the top of the unit and not the side. OR, I would pull the head off and spin it clockwise 90 degrees.

I also was thinking of this thread has been hijacked, but then looked at it as promoting the pump you have for sale/trade :)

Joel, My eyesight is just fine for a man of my age :-)

Rod, mine has the stroke dial. (I keep mine at 40% and it still pumps more than it is designed for.)

hijack shmijack it doesn't matter to me no big deal I just wanna find a different pump.

I am thinking of just selling it i I can't trade it.

Rod, I was gonna wall-mount mine but worried about the weight. I have it resting on a shelf, with the head hanging off the end. Bleed should be on the side, top discharge, no matter how it is mounted though!

your dial is for the frequency/speed of the pump. The other dial is to adjust the length of the stroke ( how far the diaphragm moves in and out)

Yes Joel, Your right, It should be on the top. The way yors is set/mounted is fine. But Garricks has the head of teh pump on a sideways position

ya but I changed it back to the vertical position instead of the horizintal. I am thinking it will work better this way
